Food Name:Classic Vegetable Biryani
Food Ingredients:Soak 2 cups of Basmati rice in water for 30 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of diced vegetables (such as carrots, peas, potatoes, and bell peppers), 1 cup of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of biryani masala, 1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste, and salt to taste. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee (clarified butter) in a pot and sauté 1 sliced onion until golden brown.
How to Cook:Add the marinated vegetables to the pot and cook for 5 minutes. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot along with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. Garnish with chopped cilantro and fried onions. Serve hot with raita (yogurt dip) or mirchi ka salan (spicy chili gravy).
