Food Name:Chicken Biryani

Food Ingredients: Marinate 500g of chicken pieces with 1 cup of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of biryani masala, 1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste, 1 sliced onion, 1 chopped tomato, 2 green chilies, a handful of chopped mint leaves, a handful of chopped coriander leaves, and salt to taste. Soak 2 cups of Basmati rice in water for 30 minutes.

How to Cook:In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee (clarified butter) and sauté 1 sliced onion until golden brown. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it's half done. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot along with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. Garnish with fried onions, chopped coriander leaves, and a sprinkle of saffron soaked in milk. Serve hot with raita (yogurt dip) or mirchi ka salan (spicy chili gravy).
